LOCAL KNOWLEDGE / PRACTICAL DIGITAL SKILLS / STRONGER RURAL CONNECTIONS

01 /

THE APPROACH

Start with the people.
Make the tools fit.

Your community group needs an easier way to share information online. Your business wants its team to feel confident online. A local project needs to hear from people who can’t make the meeting.

These are the kind of challenges Rural for Digital is built to address: understanding what people need, choosing a practical response and helping them put it to use.

02 /

Digital confidence

Practical workshops and guided support to help rural businesses and community groups use everyday digital tools with purpose.

03 /

Information people can find

Review how people find your services and explore clearer directories, resource hubs and online information.

04 /

More ways to participate

Ideas into practical projects

Plan online surveys, accessible project updates and feedback opportunities that help more local voices contribute.

Scope a digital initiative, identify the people and skills it needs, and build a manageable plan for delivery and upkeep.

WHAT THIS COULD LOOK LIKE

Close to home.

Illustrative projects that show the direction of this work.

FOR A COMMUNITY GROUP

FOR A RURAL BUSINESS

A handover that lasts.

A shared digital home for contacts, instructions and documents, so the next volunteer can pick up where someone else left off.

FOR A LOCAL PROJECT

Tools the team can use.

A practical workshop around one everyday challenge, followed by simple guidance the team can return to.

A wider conversation.

A mix of online and in-person feedback options, with clear updates showing people how their input has been used.

MEET ELYSSA

Rural life shapes the way I work.

I’m Elyssa Giedraitis, based in Wongan Hills. My background in communications and my experience inside our family engineering business have given me a close view of the opportunities and pressures facing rural businesses.

I’m developing Digital for Rural to bring those experiences together: exploring how online tools, practical learning and community participation can support rural places.

I care about solutions people can actually use, maintain and make their own.
